Irony

For the past few months, I’ve been trying to force myself not to agonize so much over what I post on this blog. I have a bad habit of overthinking what I write, and this often leads me down the path to slow writing, slower editing, and a “flavorless” final product (for a detailed account of my struggles, click here or here).

I’m doing it right now, in fact. More irony.

One of my goals is to try to break myself from that rut. I’m working hard at forcing myself to simply let the words fly, to keep it to one proofread and one preview, then to click publish.

A few days ago, I wrote a brief rant about what I perceive to be the rapidly declining standards for proofreading/editing in eBooks as well as in online news articles.

You can already see where this is going…

So, last night I actually managed to publish a post with a pretty serious typo IN THE FRAKKING TITLE!

Ain’t that some shit?

Fortunately, I spotted the mistake this morning and have already corrected it.

Now, about that egg on my face…
